Instructions:

In the Work Sheet "EnergyCalc", replace all the Blue Field numbers with numbers that represent your facility.

Fields can be changed as many times as required to obtain the realistic representation of your site.

for example...

 

  • Adjusting "Projected Load %" will immediately effect the "Calculated Steam Load".
  • Adjusting "Cycles of Concentration" will effect "Calculated Blowdown Losses"
  • Cycles of Concentration approximately equals Boiler Water Conductivity divided by Boiler Feedwater Conductivity.
  • 100 Cycles of Concentration = 1% blowdown losses, 50 Cycles of Concentration = 2% blowdown losses, 20 Cycles of Concentration = 5% blowdown losses
  • Adjusting "Cycles of Concentration" and "Percent Condensate Returns" will effect amount of "Make-up Mass" Calculated
  • Monitoring inputs to approximate "Current Daily Gas Usage" allows you to cross check that your entries above are realistic to your actual Gas Consumption.
